Conveniently on the island, facilities include fresh water, pit toilets and picnic tables. And there are even a small number of campsites available for overnight use.
We paddled our own Seaward kayaks (a family-owned kayak manufacturer on Vancouver Island), but if you need to rent boats there are a number of rental companies on Salt Spring that can provide sea kayaks. On a previous visit, we rented boats from Allan at Andale Kayaking near the Fernwood Dock on the north end of the island.
